HIGHTEC ANTIFREEZE COOLANT AN 13 is a ready-to-use premium long-life coolant based on monoethylene glycol combined with glycerin. It arrives pre-mixed for frost protection down to -40 C and offers a high level of corrosion and frost protection without any preparation. The nitrite-, amine- and phosphate-free recipe gives reliable protection to both aluminium and cast iron engines.

Purpose and specifications

Developed for the cooling systems of modern vehicles that require a G13 generation coolant. It is approved to VW TL 774-J (G13) and meets ASTM D3306, ASTM D4985, BS 6580, SAE J1034 and JIS K 2234.

When to use / change?

Use it where a G13 magenta coolant is prescribed or for a matching top-up. Being a ready mix, it is filled in undiluted. A coolant change is normally advised about every 5 years or in line with the maintenance plan, with effective protection from roughly -40 C up to +120 C under system pressure. Unopened shelf life is approximately 5 years stored cool and sealed.

Does it need to be diluted before use?
No. It is already balanced as a -40 C ready mix and is poured in straight from the container.

What colour is it and can I mix it?
It is magenta. Only mix with another G13-type coolant of the same colour and technology; otherwise flush and refill.
