Air filters

Every litre of fuel burned needs roughly ten thousand litres of air, and all of it passes through the engine air filter. Its task is contradictory: hold back dust and moisture, yet resist airflow as little as possible, because a restricted intake costs power and pushes fuel consumption up.

MANN-FILTER air filters solve this with high dust holding capacity and a very low pressure drop. Trapezoidal shapes, stepped pleat surfaces and adhesive bead technology keep the folds open under load, so the filtration area stays usable instead of collapsing after a few thousand kilometres. Clean intake air also protects the mass airflow sensor, a far more expensive part than the filter in front of it.
